Our latest Mango River CMS release brings new features that we know users of our web content management system will be excited about! Like most of our CMS enhancements, these features come included with the existing accounts, not requiring any additional payments.
New Website Registration Feature
This features allows for website owners to easily create a site registration feature. This allows people to automatically sign up for accounts, so that they can login to your website to view private content. This feature can be used, for example, to:
- Collect leads - have people sign up to be able to view restricted information on your website, such as more helpful information that you do not wish to make public. This can be accessed in exchange for having their email, so you can reach out to them about their interest in your offerings.
- Sell memberships - when used with our form payment feature, can allow you to sell memberships to private content on your website.
- Sell online courses - Register users to access private pages, which can be online course content such as videos, text, images, etc.
Content can be easily created through the CMS which can be set to be viewable only to a user role. This can be an entire page, or even content on part of a page. This role can then be used as the default role for the registration feature, which enables you to create any combination of roles that can access different content.
You can allow registration to be free by placing the signup form in public view.
You can also charge for registrations by having the form only available on a page that after a payment has been made. This can be done with payment forms for one-time or recurring payments, to create ongoing memberships.
The registration uses a 2-step process which verifies the user by their email account, to avoid getting spam. You control what information is displayed throughout this signup process.
You will receive notifications of any user registrations, so you can check to see who is signing up. You can also manual sign up people to have roles on your website, for example if you get their information over the phone or in person.
Updated Login Display Options
With the addition of site registrations, we have updated the display options for our login display, which shows whether or not someone is signed into the website. This allows someone to sign in or out, and see whether they are already logged in, which is helpful. They can also have an optional link to edit their profile.
Enhanced User Profile
As you may also want to gather more information about users that register on your website. The new profile page allows users to provide things like home and mobile phone numbers, company/organisation, Twitter or Facebook accounts, and addresses. The profile page also now matches your website design, rather than our CMS admin area, keeping your brand and website as all that appears.
These features come included with your site account in our Mango River CMS. Please contact us if you have questions or would like us to enable them for your website!
